Waseley Hills Crafts Guild offers local people an opportunity
to meet others involved in handmade crafts, whether their interest
is on a hobby or professional basis or somewhere in between. Our
aim is to encourage the development of crafts by our members and
to increase public awareness of handmade crafts.
The Guild was formed in June 1988 when 15 people attended our
inaugural meeting. We now have about 30 members including both
professionals and hobbyists. We have arranged occasional craft
fairs and exhibited at many other shows. Several members have
displayed and sold their work at every 'Skills on Show" event
at Worcester County Hall from 1994 onwards. Exhibitions have been
held at Selly Manor, the County Museum at Hartlebury and at Kidderminster
Library.
We meet at Waseley Hills Country Park, normally on the 7th of
each month, except August and visitors are welcome - details.
